MAIN OUTCOME

The problem

We met with the UgenTec team in the context of a buyer-side technical due diligence commissioned by an investor. It was a new exercise for the management team, and the documentation provided in the data room was very concise. The technology stack for analysis was extensive, requiring a state-of-the-art architectural review, a cloud-based software platform, and a highly specialised AI solution

Our solution

We delivered a comprehensive technical due diligence based on our highly structured and impactful methodology. After studying the investment thesis of the interested private equity fund, we defined a list of specific questions. We also proposed an interview program that allowed the team to minimize the time devoted to this study, ensuring full availability for operational tasks.

Results

A due diligence process that was perceived by both parties, the investor and the target company, as a mutually beneficial opportunity. The due diligence report enabled the investor to fully understand their investment, associated risks, and most importantly, recommendations to mitigate them.

The target team also took this opportunity to transparently and openly present their business and technology, sensing our sincere interest in their work. They have requested us to continue supporting them after the investment. We offered mentoring and coaching to the CTO as he assumed senior positions within the parent company.
